At Murena SAS, we build privacy-focused cloud services and infrastructure that power the Murena ecosystem. Our mission is to provide users with a seamless digital experience without compromising their privacy. As part of our System Administration team, you will play a key role in ensuring our services are highly available, scalable, and secure.
About this Role
You will join the infrastructure team responsible for monitoring and maintaining the fast-growing Murena Workspace infrastructure. As an Email System Administrator, your primary mission will be to maintain the global email infrastructure of Murena, which consists of bare metal and cloud servers.
In addition to day-to-day improvements (such as incorporating new technologies to mitigate current pain points), you will also be responsible for:
- Solving production incidents (outages or degradations).
- Preparing, reviewing, and handling deployments.
- Addressing L3 support requests.
Working with us means you are comfortable in an exclusively open-source environment.
Dovecot, Postfix, Rspamd and clamav are the cornerstones of our email service, all of which are Docker-based.
We manage a high-demand production environment serving tens of thousands of users. All our systems are redundant and resilient, and we’re only growing bigger!
Our stack also uses :
- Docker
- Ansible
- HAProxy
- nftables
- MariaDB (clustered)
- Nginx webserver
- PHP applications
- monitoring tools (ELK / Prometheus / Grafana / … )
Familiarity with these tools is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Managing services hosted across bare-metal and cloud instances.
- Planning, evaluating, and handling deployments.
- Maintaining documentation.
- Addressing escalated support requests for the infrastructure team.
Requirements
- Strong experience (5+ years) in maintaining open-source email services (Dovecot/Postfix/Rspamd/…).
- Strong experience in Docker (including compose and networking).
- Experience managing large-scale production setups (e.g., clustered email systems), which include managing email reputation, traffic, abuse etc.
- Fluency in English.
- Fully autonomous, strong ownership and team-oriented.
- Experience working in a fully remote environment
- Experience with monitoring tools (like Prometheus, Grafana, Wazuh..)
Nice to have
- Experience with Ansible deployments.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipeline deployments.
- Experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with Wazuh or any other open source security monitoring tool.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
